We would begin with our 6th grade students and then continue with each grade level the following academic years. So it would take 7 years to get completely onboard with a 1 to 1 program. At this point, its up the superintend to make the decision and its probably going to be a funding issue as well. We would see some savings if we implemented the program but from my perspective we would be spending money to save money.
I think the idea is great and its one that we should embrace. It would make a big difference in the lives of students and I think they would benefit in the long run from such an endeavor.
